Water Name

Harold Park Lake

This water is situated within the confines of a council park and within striking distance of the city centre. The water is run and controlled very well, by the Bradford No1 Angling Association who do plenty of work on the water.

The water has depths that vary from 3 to 18 feet with shallow water found around the island and the old boathouse. Access to the water is straight from the car park and a watchful eye can be kept on your car whilst fishing. This is an excellent venue for the disabled angler. Pole and feeder are productive methods, but float with either maggot, bread or hemp account for good catches. The water is stocked with plenty of roach, perch, bream and also tench.

January 2003 - This water has recently been stocked with 2000 Roach between 6oz and 1lb and continues to be a good winter fishery.

Day tickets cost £0.70p for adults £0.35p for Juniors and are available from Wibsey Angling Centre and other outlets that sell Bradford No 1 A.A tickets. Fishing only during official park opening hours.

Check the Club web site

You need the A6036 from Bradford towards Halifax over Odsal Top still on the A6036. You are then looking for Cemetery Road on your left hand side, which leads to the park
