Description |
There are a couple of small ponds here, the waters are run and controlled by Hoyland Angling Club. The fishing on offer is very affordable with the chance of catching Carp up to around 20lb. The water holds plenty of small silver fish which tend to make up the majority of the match weights. Maggot Caster and worm will see plenty of bites as Roach (best 2½lb but average 5oz), Rudd and skimmers make up the majority of the fish in the water. There are also some Tench present with the best running to 5lb. The smaller of the pools is about 7½ft. deep and is stuffed with Roach and Bream. This pool can be fished by the under 16's or OAP's for free. |

Directions |
From the M1 at junction 36 take the A6135 South towards Sheffield. After about a mile you come to Hoyland traffic lights, turn left here and after the railway bridge you will see the fishery is on the left after a mile, look for a second railway bridge. |
