Water Name |
Tollerton Ponds |
Description |
This water has been transformed by the new owner (previously owner of Raker Lakes). There are toilets on site with food available on Sunday. There are four ponds now available on this complex. There are plenty of variety in fish to target, with carp to 15lb in the shape of both common and mirrors. There are tench to 5lb, bream to 4lb and roach to a 1lb with perch and ide also present. There are few chub present that pull the scales down to 6lb. The waters do tend to suffer from a weed on the bottom, so float fishing on a running line or pole is the preferred method here. Roach will take the bread punch very confidently, whilst carp will happily take pellet, corn and meat. The carp pool is the largest with 20 pegs and averages about 5 ft depth. The second water is called Pool 2 with 14 pegs and is good for the smaller matches on there. A good pleasure weight would be anything over 30 lb. This water is quite shallow at about 3 ft. The third pool available for fishing at this time is Pool 3, but this only has 4 pegs, but the carp are of a better size, but would probably go through the other anglers? lines. The fourth pool is still settling and not open just yet. |
