Water Name |
Thorpe Perrow |
Description |
This is a very popular water with the local anglers and on weekends it can be quite difficult to get one of the 25 pegs. The water is very well kept in terms of its banks, bins and general surroundings. The water holds a good colour and is also very deep in a number of places down to 11 ft. It does fish very well for roach (1lb but most average 5oz) through the colder months for this reason. There is a very good stock of carp present with better fish to 8lb, but most feature at just over 2lb. Tench are there in numbers and succumb to corn, worm and meat in nets to 50lb during the warmer months. Perch and bream make up the rest of the fish stocks here. I am told that the water does suffer with crayfish, which can make bottom baits a real target. |
