This is a very well managed complex, and as the name suggests, it caters for both coarse and trout anglers. The water produces it's own trout from the pools that sit alongside the Driffield Canal.

The parking in relation to the coarse pool couldn't be handier. There are also toilets on site. Take care, as the banks down to the pegs are quite steep. Once there, the platforms are sturdy, flat and large. Wheelchair accessibility though is not brilliant. The water is also quite exposed and when the cold wind blows there are not many pegs where you can get away from it.

The pool available for fishing is a strange shape, and is best described as a crooked horseshoe. There are 28 pegs to fish from and they are reasonable well spaced. The deepest bay is towards the trout lake side, with places down to 7 foot. The point that runs into the middle has just short of 5 ft depth all around, and depths up to 6 ft near the car park. In terms of features, this place will get better when the reeds and rushes grow a bit larger. The water holds colour the year round and this does assist with the fishing.

The water when originally stocked had a good head of big bream, these don't tend to show as much these days. But there are plenty of other fish to have a go at. The pond is stocked with carp, tench, roach and perch and the odd bigger bream.
