Patrington haven drains
recently sent an email to enviroment agency asking what fish are in the drain if there is a closed season and if it is still free, and heres what i got back.RE: Patrington Haven DrainThank you for your enquiry dated 28th October 2008.FisheriesThis drain used to be a very good fishery for carp, bream and roach. However, last year's floods brought about a large-scale fish mortalities and this may have reduced fish numbers in the short term. Fishing on the drain is largely free to licence holders, but there are some sections where fishing is not allowed, namely at Winestead. There is a close season on the watercourse. This information is based on data that is currently available to the Environment Agency and is subject to our standard notice. Collingham Weirpool, in particular, is well fished, but can be very productive, if you don't mind fishing amongst the crowds. Don't right Dunham, or any other stretch between Collingham and Dunham and further downstreamtoo, off though. The barbel have no constraints on where they can and can't go on the Tidal Trent, andlike someone has pointed out they have been out to nearly 20lb.
Venue Information Update – Your help needed.
Tyram Lakes.Fished a match on here on saturday 15th Nov, winning weight 12.1kg mainly small carp on sweetcorn. However several of my colleagues also caught on Paste. Which at this time of the years is something not thought of.

It's a known hotspot. But it can often be slow, probablydue it being fished year round, even though there is no night fishing and a close season in the Spring.
