What a month we have in store, October is a busy one for events, the final OS match of the year taking place out at Lindholme, The Autumn Carping overnighter the weekend of the 10th at Pool Bridge Farm on the newly opened Q lake, and also the same weekend we have the much awaited YF v YMA annual banter match, again this will be held on the silvers lake at Pool Bridge.
OS Match
Congratulations to Boff This seasons League winner after a hard season when in the end there was only a couple of pound in it , a new angler to our OS Matches this season and he is the first name to go on our new shield , well done mate, I’m sure next year the others will be keeping a close eye on his tactics
A bit of sad news at Lindholme our very own Finny lost a plummet in his peg, so if you find one could you contact finny via the forum (they do cost 50p you know lol) re
Only joking chaps
Autumn Carping overnighter Well the banter on the forum for this has reached fever pace, just which side of the island will produce the fish, a few lads are also fishing the Friday night as well so there will be a bit of bait going in to try and keep the stock in there swims, a full write up of the event along with pictures will be done once the event has taken place, i think allot of members are looking forward to this as the lake can produce from any peg, will Cookiemonster be able to match his skills from the spring event at alderfen
YF v YMA Match Again the banter between the two forums has flowed like the fish into our nets at last years event, the YMA poaching members lol, a great line up offers to go one step better than last year when we narrowly got pipped to the net by the YMA lads a full report will be uploaded once the event has taken place
Forum News Our very own Woodchucker has crossed over to the darkside (carping) and while he was fishing down at Cromwell lakes he managed to latch on to the rather large residents, well done woody you deserve it mate, he did speak to me on the phone an hour or so after he caught the fine beast, and i could tell then his voice was still shaking, woody carping is far better than catching those snappers in winter lol Woodys 35lb 8oz Mirror (named Brownie)

Also during the same session he also managed another 30 and an uncaught one at that, so he had the naming rights which he chose Big Ron after his Dad, again well done mate and I’m sure we will be seeing Big Ron again when he next visits the bank.
Keep watching in the new year for our 2010 charity event , things are in the pipe line as i tap away on my keyboard, once dates, venue have all been booked and sorted we will announce all the details, PAC (Pike Angling Club) are also running a teaching day at gowdall in November, if you would like to join them on this teaching day then join our forum and get your name down, its a first come first serve basis so any member can join, learn how to handle these fish correctly, correct way to set up your rigs, the teachers for the day are some of the area’s best pike anglers
There are still allot of members still fishing the various banks in and around Yorkshire, if you would like to read just what is getting caught them join the forum and read the reports, totallyfree to join , it will only cost you time . Until next month when hopefully all the events write ups have been uploaded
