Description |
Lowfield Lakes was established in around 1999 and was purchased and renovated in 2009. There are 3 lakes with 75 pegs overall and with access to the River Dearne. There are several parking areas with easy access to the pegs. The ponds consist of Carp (all ponds have ‘doubles’ ), Bream, Tench, Ide, Roach and Perch. In November 2011 we re-stocked with up to 4000lb of Carp, over the 3 ponds. the yorkshirecockney says: 1st time I fished this place was Sunday 22/4/12, I fished the 1st lake you come to, plenty of Ide, Roach & a few Carp, not bad but didn't really know what I was doing. I went again on Tues 24/4/12 WOW what a difference, with some advice from fishery owner & manager as well as a local that was fishing that day I hammered it, Carp to 10lb with several 7-8lb, loads of 4-5lb & nothing smaller than 1.5lb + 2 Ghost Carp at 6-7lb. Thank you for a great day. |
