Description |
There are a couple of small ponds here, 1½ to 2 Acres in size. Both ponds hold a good head of species including Carp to 20lb, Tench to 4lb, Bream to 5lb, Crucians to 2½lb and Roach to 2lb (the average being about 6oz). Match weights often reach 30 to 40lbs, more if the Carp show. There is ample parking and matches are welcomed from small or large groups. From Ian Paul, Club Secretary: Milton ponds are probably the most underrated venue in the Barnsley area, offering great match sport for £3 a peg, you can have 3 pegs or 20 pegs 7 days a week. |

Directions |
From the M1 at junction 36 take the A6135 South towards Sheffield. After about a mile you come to Hoyland traffic lights, turn left here and after the railway bridge you will see the fishery is on the left after a mile, look for a second railway bridge. |
