Water Name |
Horseshoe Lake, Wales, Rotherham. |
Description |
This water is situated in Wales! But this one is Wales near Rotherham. The water, a single lake is about 2½ to 3 acres, situated on a well-kept caravan site. The water is deepest towards the centre, but a rod length out will see the best part of 5ft to fish in. There are plenty of facilities on the site including a Café and Toilets. Many of the 20 pegs are suitable for anglers with Disabilities. There is a good mix of stock present with plenty of Carp that average 10oz with better fish to 20lb. These will generally take any bait that you put in front of them. There are Crucians to 1½lb, Bream and Perch to 1lb, with Roach, Rudd and Tench to ½lb. The biggest fish in the water are brown Trout that run to 8lb and can be purchased if you catch one. Maggot, Caster and Worm appear to be most popular baits. To ensure the best weights do not fish too heavily and most of the fish are within reach of the end of your rod. |
