Description |
Villa Pond is a small very pleasant lake of about an acre close to York with 23 pegs set in a very tidy lawned area. The water contains Roach, Rudd, Ide, Tench and Carp up to 30lb. There is good parking and level access. Clean toilets and excellent food are available at the adjacent caravan site which is a short walk away. There are no matches and keep nets are not permitted, this is a water for good quality pleasure fishing at an attractive venue with good facilities. It is open from 7am to dusk or 10pm whichever is the earliest. The owners are enthusiastic and like to see customers catching fish, regular hook inspections are carried out. The owners collect the money at the peg and usually stop for a chat. |

£5 per day or part of a day. You may fish with two rods. |

Rules |
Barbless hooks only, maximum size 10. The net dip must be used. No keep nets. You must have a suitable landing net, which must not be shared. Ground bait in moderation. Cat and dog food is banned. Floating bread is allowed only in the last two hours. No cloths when handling fish. Litter (including cigarette ends) must be removed from the peg and may be placed in the bins provided. Fish must be treated with care and respect. No fires or stoves. No dogs unless by special arrangement. Children under 14 must be supervised by an adult unless special arrangements are made with the owners. |

Directions |
Villa Pond is located on the B1363 Upper Wigginton Road half a mile outside York Ring Road. Turn off York Ring Road onto the B1363 away from York following the signs towards Helmsley and Wigginton. After half a mile you will see Willow House Caravan Park on the right. About 100 metres after the caravan park you will see blue signs on the right. |
