A lot of the locals still refer to this water as Jenkins Lake, and has recently been expanded with a link that now combines two waters together. Although still not a large fishery in terms of pegs (51), it is a very pleasant water to visit. There is good secure parking with toilet facilities. Some of the closer pegs are suitable to disabled anglers, but anglers using wheelchairs will be restricted. The water covers almost 2 acres and offers year round sport with the top end being the best end during the winter months for some reason. The depths vary from 3 foot to almost 7 foot in places. Touring caravan and camping site now available.

If fished right the water regularly gives up 70lb plus bags for pleasure anglers during the summer months. These are mainly made up of carp, which are in the 1 to 6lb range with some F1's, with bigger fish up to around 19lb. Bream that run up to the 4lb mark, lots of gudgeon, roach, rudd, perch, tench (2lb) and the odd occasional chub is taken.

Dependent on where you fish will dictate the method used. The pole and waggler account for a lot of fish, but the method feeder used with meat is a cracking method for taking the carp in the warmer months. The best advice from the locals is take a variety and change until you find the right couple of baits then swap them regularly. Feed with the micro pellets as the sound of them hitting the water works well.
