Water Name |
Burshill A Pond |
Description |
This a Hull and District Association water. Burshill A is a pond about 1.5 acres and was created and developed as a pleasure fishery by the Association. It is one of two ponds in the Burshill Fishery, part of the Brandesburton Complex. Unlike the neighbouring pits it is shallow and flat-bottomed; it has been heavily stocked with the intention of making the fishing easy. All the swims are easily accessible and the pond is well sheltered from the wind. Previously the Pond has suffered with excessive weed growth, in early 2011 we plan to try a new treatment to alleviate the problem. The venue is set to receive a major facelift in early 2011, with a new path and all new swims planned. Also, the venue is included in our re-stocking program; receiving 350 small carp in late 2009 and further stock in 2010.
