Water Name |
Greaves End Fishing Pond - Eastrington. |
Description |
Situated nicely just off the M62, this water is set in lovely surroundings. There is plenty of cover from when the wind blows, it also offers good sport through the colder months of the year. Fishing is from a mixture of wooden platforms and bare banks with many of the pegs suitable for anglers with disabilities. There is ample parking and onsite toilets. There is good depth in the water with almost 9 foot in the centre. The top corner near the parking area has shallower water at 4 foot, and this can be a very good place to sit when the water starts to warm. There are 3 islands dotted about, and these can be the areas to target the carp present. The water is popular with anglers who use specimen tactics to target the carp that run to almost 32lb. Boilies and large pieces of meet will pick out the bigger fish. Bream and Tench run to 8lb and can be caught on corn and worm from all around the lake. Roach and Rudd run to 3lb, with Perch, crucians and Ide making up the remainder of the stock. The water holds catfish that run to 72lb. |
