A distance of 1 Mile this stretch of the canal forms part of an excellent fishery for match and pleasure fishing. It holds a very good head of Roach ,Perch , Tench, chub, Bream ,and Carp..

This water is controlled by the Wheatsheaf angling club.

Selby Canal, Brayton Bridge to the A19

This stretch of the canal has been used for match and pleasure fishing for many years And holds a good head of fish this part of the canal has been taken over by the Selby and district angling club.

The Brayton bridge, part of the canal has just undergone a major improvement with the addition of 50 new fishing platforms ,and inproved access points plus new car parking areas ..go one give it a go.
