This is a very nice water to fish, situated conveniently off the M62. You will find 4 lakes on this site with easy parking for them all, and good steady pegs that allow access for disabled anglers. Additionally there are toilets on the site, and a cafe that provide quality sandwiches and breakfasts at a cracking price. The owners Steve and Clair are amongst some of the nicest fishery owners you could wish to meet. There is a good selection of fish to be had here, and as such offer sport for the whole year. The carp dominate the warmer months with mirrors and commons making the numbers up, but there are also crucians and a few ghosties to be had additionally. The rest of the species include roach, rudd, tench, perch and bream.All the lakes offer some features to fish to, whether it just be marginal reeds. It could be suggested to make the most of any feature you find and use plenty of corn or meat if you’re targeting the carp. If the silver fish take your fancy during the colder months then try maggot and caster.Day Tickets £6.00 on the roadside carp lake, 5.00 on the 2 silverfish lakes and 7.50 for the day and 15.00 for first 24hr period on the specimen lake (booking advisable as this lake is extremely busy) Groundbait in feeders only, no nuts, boilies only on the specemin lake, and all other baits must be used in moderation, any questions please seek advice. dogs allowed, and no keepnets except in pre-booked matches. Juniors to be accompanied by an adult.

Directions - M62 to junction 34 to join the A19 towards Selby, when you get to the Power station at Eggborough turn right towards Hensall and Gowdall, after about 3 to 3 1/2 miles you come to Gowdall and it is unmissable.
