Fishing in Yorkshire

Yorkshire Fishing is designed for anglers pleasure fishing in Yorkshire. What will you find here: Over 210 Day Ticket Venues listed and reviewed, with still waters, lakes, rivers, canals and commercial waters all featured.


There is a very busy forum where you can share your catches and tactics. If you enjoy catching coarse fish such as carp, tench, roach, bream, chub, barbel, catfish, pike, perch we have them reviewed and provide the best tactics for catching those specimens.

If you're fishing in East Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire or North Yorkshire you will discover new waters to fish in some of the best countryside in the country.

If you don't mind sharing your catches and tactics, then this is the place to be. You will also find members articles, tips, tactics, tackle reviews and plenty of articles to read.

Yorkshire Fishing boasts some of the regions top anglers as contributors, who are always willing to put you onto fish.

These Kids need as much support as we can give them, lets hopefully make them forget about there illnesses for the day while enjoying a days fishing with our members, there are still places available for anyone who wishes to join our forum and put your name down, the kids themselves will have careers with them.

any funds we do raise are an add on for us and first and foremost its a day for the kids, all money raised goes directly to the charity which included the fishing fee , but you will also get a BBQ on the day as well which is included in your fee, the lake has been kindly donated by Aston fisheries for our use for the day.

June News 

the rivers are now fully open and our members have been reaping the rewards of months of anticipation, as you can see from a selection of  pictures below, there has been some wonderful captures, and thanks to our forum members that wish to share their catches with us

Lets not forget now the rivers are back open the the still waters do tend to quietened down a little , so let us know of any great days you have had, post a report on the forum and we may include them here when we do the update. also enter any fishing related photo's in our new monthly photo competition, which once we have a winner we intend to do a new feature here on the front site, this can be any snaps you have taken whilst on the bank, so if you don't have any get snapping

OS Matches

Our next match is Lowfield Lakes - Main Lake on the 24th July, there are a few place still free so again once you join our forum you are able to add your name to the list, you do not need to be an expert to take part, most of the lads go for the fun, if you have never fished a match before , these will give you an insight to the world of match fishing, and no matter what your level of angling you are  , you are welcome to join us, all it will cost you is your peg fee which can change from venue to venue, but full details for all our matches are in the OS match section on the forum

We are in the process of updating all the information we have on all the venues in and around the 4 counties, if you are going to visit one we have listed then please contact the owners first to check everything will be ok for you to visit, if you find things have changed allot thenplease could you let me know as well so i can update things as soon as, or if you are a fishery owner please do contact us regarding any details we can update, please if possible include any photos of your landscape

went to epworth fisheries ,nr doncaster.brill day ,loads carp and big bream.steve ,owner ,great bloke ,told us were to fish ,and tactics,fish are in mint condition,defenately be going back,sod lindholme ,hes just a greedy get

slack areas are found mainly on bends in the river, and the term slack refers to the part of the river where the current is not as strong.

There's a cracking place just outside york called pool bridge lakes, it's the sponsor of this site and it's a great days fishing and ou an camp there too. I would definately try there.
